DKNY Watch History And Story

In 1984 Karan and her late husband Stephan Weiss started DKNY after she had spent 15 years working for Anne Klein (Watch Gnome also offers Anne Klein watch battery replacement). They were offered the opportunity by Takhyo LLC who owned Anne Klein.

The company went public in 1996 and then in 2001 it was brunches by Louis Vuitton.

DKNY Brand Name

DKNY stands for Donna Karan New York and it launched in the fall of 1985 with a women's collection named 7 Easy Pieces. It was designed to have a handful of interchangeable items that all worked together to create a wardrobe that can fit all different occasions and seasons. 

The first DKNY mens wear collection launched in 1991.
