Removing this caseback on a Nixon requires the right tools and skill to remove the restraints without stripping them or accidentally slipping and scratching the case. It is sometimes possible to do with household tools - if you decide to do this - just be extra careful.
- Fine, battery restraint arm. These watches have a small moveable arm that holds the Nixon battery in place and completes the circuit to get power to the watch caliber. This arm is very fine and requires the loosening of 1-2 small screws to move it out of the way. It's critical to do this carefully to prevent stripping the screw or slipping and damaging the watch coil.
