One-off Hermès created for Only Watch auction

Hermès has created and now revealed their "In The Pocket" watch created for Only Watch charity auction

Previously in 2012, Hermès launched a unique pocket watch that could be worn on the wrist, inspired by the porte-oignon given to Jacqueline Hermès by her father a hundred years before. The pocket watch came with a custom made leather strap that allowed the user to mount it on their wrist. Now, for the 2015 Only Watch charity auction, the high-end French brand has created another unique version of the historic timepiece.

Hermès watch announcement

Only a few short weeks after revealing the new version of its "In The Pocket" watch, Hermès announced that it's contribution to the auction will be a one-off example of this watch. The new version will sport a rose-gold caseback, a finely grained black dial, and come completed with a case made from finely crafted calfskin in the brand’s signature red hue.

What will the Hermès watch sell for?

There aren't currently any estimates on what the one of a kind pocket watch will fetch at the Only Watch auction, but WatchGnome will be keeping an eye on the results and will post as soon as we know! Check back with us in November to find out how much this watch and others raised for the auction.

The Only Watch auction

The Only Watch auction, held by Phillips in Switzerland in November of this year, sees numerous manufacturers come together to design, build or customize 44 unique watches. These one of a kind watches will be sold in to support a muscular dystrophy charity.
