Frederique Constant creates unique smartwatch for the Only Watch Charity Auction

Revealed earlier this year, Frederique Constant’s Horological Smartwatch is a fantasticly stylish alternative to Apple's new smartwatch. This cutting edge Swiss company created this one of kind version to be sold by Phillips at this years Only Watch Auction in Geneva this November.

Current Apple Watch

The new Apple Watch and its current smartwatch competitors have had great success within a particular demographic but their styling absolutely leans towards modern aesthetics and mass produced technology. While the features and functionality may appeal to many, the styling has turned away many potential customers.

Frederique Constant was one of the first to recognise the opportunity to create a classically styled smartwatch. They revealed their Horological Smartwatch in February 2015 and key features included smartphone integration, and the ability to measure both physical activity and sleep levels, with the dials at 6 o’clock providing a live analogue update on the wearer’s progress.

Watches for a good cause

The Only Watch auction is a charity auction held by Phillips in aid of research into Muscular Dystrophy. A number of well known watch manufacturers are producing one of a kind watches to help draw a crow and generate donations for the cause. Frederique Constant has now revealed this one-off version of the Horological Smartwatch for the even. The caseback is engraved as a reminder of the cause and the 18 karat rose-gold plated wristwatch has a dark green dial. The watch also comes in a special presentation box and includes an iPhone 6.

What will the watch sell for?
